Plastics, as an integral element of modern life, are present in many building structures and structures. However, as a result of hostilities, acts of terrorism, sabotage or work to eliminate their consequences, these materials turn into waste, which is a significant environmental problem. The description of the problem, in particular, refers to the fact that the destruction of buildings and structures leads to the formation of a large amount of plastic debris, which is difficult to decompose naturally. Residues of plastic materials entering the environment pose a serious threat to both the environment and human health.

Military conflicts, acts of terrorism and other similar events cause massive destruction of infrastructure, which is accompanied by the release of a significant amount of plastic waste. The problem is compounded by the fact that plastics are mainly durable materials that take hundreds of years to decompose, contributing to the accumulation of waste in the environment. In addition, chemicals used in the production of plastics can be released during the breakdown process, contaminating the soil, water and air.

An important component of the problem is also the fact that plastic waste management in such conditions requires the use of specialized methods and approaches. Improper handling of these wastes can lead to their further distribution and increased damage to the environment and human health. Modern methods of environmental management of plastic waste allow reducing the negative impact of these materials, but their implementation is complicated by the complexity of conditions in war zones and emergency situations. In order to reduce the harm from plastic waste, it is necessary to implement comprehensive measures, which include:

• implementation of modern technologies for processing and recycling (R5) plastic waste;
• development and use of biodegradable plastics that decompose faster in nature;
• increasing the public's awareness of the harm caused by plastic waste and the need for its proper processing;
• improvement of the infrastructure for the collection, sorting and transportation of plastic waste;
• introduction of strict norms and standards regarding the use of plastics in construction and industry.

Collaboration between government institutions, environmental organizations and business for the development and implementation of effective methods of environmental management of plastic waste is also essential. The operations of collecting, sorting, crushing and processing (D13) waste plastics must be carried out at a high technological level in order to minimize the impact on the environment and human health.

The transportation of plastic waste also requires special attention. It is important to ensure safe transportation conditions to avoid additional environmental pollution. The use of specialized transport and equipment allows you to minimize risks and maintain environmental safety.
