Combined (composite) packaging is an important part of the modern consumer goods market. Air pollution caused by the burning of combined packaging can cause respiratory diseases, allergic reactions and other health problems. This especially applies to people living near waste incineration plants and landfills.
Ways to reduce harm
In order to reduce damage from combined packaging, it is necessary to take comprehensive measures. One of these measures is the implementation of methods of environmental management of combined (composite) packaging waste. This includes operations for collection, sorting, crushing and processing (D13) of combined (composite) packaging waste.
Waste sorting allows you to separate individual materials for their further processing. This reduces the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and allows materials to be reused, reducing the need to extract new resources.
Crushing combined packaging waste helps to reduce its volume, which facilitates its transportation and recycling. It also allows to reduce the costs of storage and transportation of waste.
Transportation of combined packaging waste must be carried out in compliance with environmental and safety standards. This includes the use of specialized transport and equipment to prevent leaks and environmental pollution during transport.
