Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is a significant problem for modern society. This waste is one of the fastest growing types of waste in the world. This leads to an increased risk of developing diseases associated with toxic substances such as lead and mercury. In addition, toxins can enter the food and water consumed by the local population, increasing the risk of poisoning and chronic diseases.

Management of waste electrical and electronic equipment should include not only technical measures, but also educational programs for workers and the local population. It is important to ensure that everyone who deals with WEEE understands the risks and knows how to reduce the negative impact on health.
