Construction and demolition of buildings generate a significant amount of waste, which includes various materials left after the completion of construction work or the demolition of structures. This waste may contain the remains of concrete, wood, metals, bricks, tiles, fiberglass and other construction materials. All these materials are combined under the general name "other construction and demolition waste". They are a serious problem for the environment, as their number continues to grow with the increasing pace of urbanization and construction.
