whyneed

Management of waste generated in the process of construction and demolition is one of the most complex environmental problems today. One such waste category is mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics, other than those listed under code 17 01 06. These materials are important components of building structures and their proper management at the end of a building's life cycle is critical for preservation of ecological balance.

Modern trends in the construction industry lead to an increase in the volume of construction waste, especially in conditions of active development of urban infrastructure. Despite efforts to reduce waste, a large proportion of these materials still end up in landfills, creating significant environmental and economic challenges. Methods of ecological waste management of mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics other than those specified under code 17 01 06 are vital to ensure sustainable development.

One of the main problems is that such waste is often misclassified, making it difficult to properly collect, sort, crush and process it. The lack of clear mechanisms for control and management of these wastes leads to their accumulation in the environment, which can have long-term negative consequences. Waste management, collection and processing services: Mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics other than those specified under code 17 01 06 NPV code 17 01 07.

Mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics other than those listed under code 17 01 06. Code according to the National list of waste 17 01 07. Operations according to Appendices 1, 2 to the Law of Ukraine "About waste management" D13, R7.

A pity for the environment and people

howutilize

Construction and demolition waste, in particular mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics, can have a significant negative impact on the environment. One of the main problems is their durability and resistance to decay. These materials can remain in nature for decades, creating visual pollution and changing the landscape.

It is also important to consider that during the decomposition of some waste components, harmful chemicals can be released that can enter the soil and water resources. This can lead to contamination of the fertile soil layer, which makes it difficult to grow plants and deteriorates the quality of water resources necessary for life.

Another significant problem is that large volumes of construction and demolition waste contribute to the growth of landfills, which in turn causes the degradation of natural landscapes and the destruction of wildlife habitats. The lack of effective management of these wastes also contributes to the increase in greenhouse gas emissions, which affects global warming and climate change.

Pity for people

Construction and demolition waste not only has a negative impact on the environment, but also poses a serious threat to human health. First of all, improper storage and disposal of waste can lead to air, soil and water pollution, which poses a danger to the population.

Dust generated during the processing and transportation of waste can contain dangerous substances that easily enter the respiratory tract of a person, causing respiratory diseases. There is also a risk of allergic reactions and chronic diseases that can have a long-term effect on health.

Construction waste, in particular concrete, bricks and ceramics, can contain toxic substances that can penetrate the soil and water during decomposition. This poses a risk to drinking water sources and agricultural land, which can lead to serious health problems for people who consume contaminated water or food.

Another threat to people is the possibility of injury when working with construction and demolition waste. Improper handling of heavy materials can result in injury, including fractures, cuts, and other physical injuries. It is important to follow safe methods of working with these wastes to minimize risks to the health of workers.

An equally important problem is air pollution during the transportation of waste mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics other than those listed under code 17 01 06. This can cause air pollution with harmful substances that negatively affect the health of the population, in particular, causing diseases of the respiratory system.

Ways to reduce harm

whyneed

In order to reduce the damage caused by the waste of mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics, it is important to implement effective methods of ecological waste management. One such method includes the operations of collection, sorting, crushing and processing (D13) of waste, which allows to reduce its volume and ensure the reuse of materials (R7).

Effective waste management requires the development and implementation of modern technologies for processing materials, including the use of specialized equipment for crushing and sorting. This will significantly reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and reduce the negative impact on the environment.

Another important step is to improve the system of waste transportation of mixtures or individual fractions of concrete, bricks, facing tiles and ceramics other than those specified under the code 17 01 06. This includes the use of modern means of transport that ensure a safe and ecological transportation of materials without the risk of air and environmental pollution.

Additionally, it is important to implement education programs and increase public awareness of the need for responsible management of construction and demolition waste. This will contribute to the formation of a culture of environmental responsibility and will reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment and human health.
