Plastic is an integral part of modern life, used in many areas from household to industry. The problem of plastic recycling, which is formed as a result of the activities of households and commercial organizations, becomes more acute every year. Microplastics can accumulate in organs and tissues, causing inflammatory processes, metabolic disorders and other serious diseases. In addition, plastic products, especially those containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and other toxic substances, can cause poisoning, allergic reactions and other negative health effects.
In particular, it is worth noting that plastic waste that is not properly managed can contribute to the spread of dangerous microorganisms such as pathogenic bacteria and viruses. They can settle on the surface of plastic products, maintaining their viability for a long time. This creates a risk of infection for people when they come into contact with the waste, as well as when they consume contaminated food or water.
Damage to human health can also occur through the secondary effects of plastic waste. Ways to reduce harm
Reducing the damage caused by plastic waste to the environment and human health is one of the main challenges of modern society.
