Fine waste glass and glass powder containing heavy metals such as cadmium, lead and mercury is a serious environmental and technological problem. This waste occurs during the production and use of electronic equipment, in particular cathode ray tubes, which are used in old televisions and monitors. The danger is that these heavy metals have the ability to accumulate in the environment and living organisms, leading to serious environmental and health problems.
Methods of ecological management of hazardous waste from small waste glass and glass powder are insufficiently developed in many countries.
