Waste from the production, preparation, supply and use of organic plant protection products, wood protection products and other biocides is a significant environmental and social problem. Their improper management can lead to environmental pollution, threats to human health and a decrease in biodiversity. Residual chemicals contained in these wastes can accumulate in soil, water and plants, increasing the risk of their entry into food chains.
Methods of ecological waste management of production, preparation, supply and use of organic plant protection products need improvement, as many of them do not take into account the specificity of chemical compounds and their impact on the environment. For example, during the storage and transportation of such waste, the necessary safety measures are often not followed, which can lead to the leakage of hazardous substances. Ways to reduce harm
In order to reduce the damage caused by the wastes of production, preparation, supply and use of organic plant protection products, it is necessary to implement comprehensive measures for the ecological management of these wastes. The main areas of work should be:
- implementation of modern methods of ecological waste management;
- ensuring safe collection, sorting and treatment of waste (D13);
- improvement of transport logistics to minimize risks during transportation;
- education and professional development of workers dealing with this waste.
Operations for collection, sorting, crushing and processing of waste must be organized in accordance with international standards, which guarantees the minimization of negative impact on the environment and human health.
