Used waxes and lubricants are common types of waste generated in many industries. These substances are used in the production, maintenance and operation of various mechanisms and equipment. As a result of their use, spent materials are formed, which require a special approach to management. The problem of used wax masses and lubricants is urgent, because they contain dangerous chemical compounds that can have a serious negative impact on the environment and human health.

Spent wax masses and lubricants are substances with a complex chemical structure. They contain various chemical elements and compounds formed during their operation. After the expiration date, these substances may lose their useful properties and become hazardous waste. One of the main problems is that used waxes and lubricants can contain toxic substances such as heavy metals, organic compounds and other chemical elements that can pollute the environment.

Methods of ecological management of hazardous waste of spent wax masses and lubricants require special attention and responsibility. Failure to properly manage these wastes can lead to serious environmental problems, including soil, water and air pollution. In order to reduce the negative impact of spent waxes and lubricants on the environment and human health, it is necessary to implement effective methods of environmental management of hazardous waste. Among them:

• operations for the collection, sorting, crushing and processing of hazardous waste of used wax masses and lubricants: this allows to minimize the amount of waste entering the environment;
• implementation of modern technologies for processing spent waxes and lubricants (R9): this contributes to the efficient use of secondary resources and reduction of the amount of waste;
• transportation of hazardous waste of spent waxes and lubricants: proper transportation allows you to avoid emergency situations and reduce the risk of environmental pollution;
• raising the level of awareness among the population and workers of industrial enterprises regarding the correct handling of used waxes and lubricants.

Operations for the collection, sorting, crushing and processing of hazardous waste waxes and lubricants are key to reducing their negative impact on the environment. The collection process includes not only the physical removal of waste from its sources, but also the provision of proper labeling and packaging for onward safe transportation. Sorting makes it possible to separate spent wax masses and lubricants from other types of waste, which contributes to their more efficient processing.

Crushing is an important stage in the processing of used wax masses and lubricants, as it allows to reduce their volume and facilitates further processing. The introduction of modern technologies for crushing allows to ensure the high efficiency of this process and minimize the loss of materials.

Biological methods of processing used wax masses and lubricants are based on the use of microorganisms that can decompose organic components of waste into non-toxic substances.

Transportation of hazardous waste waxes and lubricants is an important component of the waste management process. Certain requirements must be met to ensure safe transportation, including the use of specialized vehicles, waste labeling, and compliance with the rules for the transportation of dangerous goods. This allows you to minimize the risk of emergency situations and environmental pollution during waste transportation.

Raising the level of awareness among the population and workers of industrial enterprises regarding the correct handling of used wax masses and lubricants is an important component of environmental management. This includes conducting educational events, trainings and informing about the dangers of used waxes and lubricants and methods of their safe management. This approach contributes to increasing the level of environmental awareness and reducing the negative impact of these wastes on the environment and human health.
